Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/3 cup of yeast
- 1/2 cup of water
- If making a larger cake use double.
- If making a smaller cake use smaller bowl
- If you want a more choclatey cake then you can use 1 1/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 150g golden caster sugar
- 150g plain chocolate
Steps
- Beat butter till soft then add sugar and mix. Then when done add eggs by portions.
- Sift the dry ingredients together (flour, salt, baking soda and cocoa).
- Stir in the liquid ingredients (vanilla, water and milk).
- Pour the mixture into an 8 inch greased and floured round pan. (20cm)
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 or 50 minutes. (180 degree Celsius)
- Let the cake cool.
- Frost as desired.(frosting, icing)
- For an optional garnish, sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the cake.
